Using internet for entertainment can bring positive and negative impact to teenagers. One of the negative impact is moral issues. There are lots of evidence that shows teenagers react immorally when they surf the internet for entertainment.
Teenagers sometimes do not have a clue what they have learn from surfing internet. Some entertainment site like music or video blind their eyes with good music and funny video. But the truth is, the lyrics and the words they use are inappropriate. Teenagers think that the words they learn or hear in music or video are new trends of how to talk to their friends and parents. This cause them to behave immorally by talking rudely, especially with their parents and other elderly. Talking with rude words like bullshit and stupid have become a usual way of talking with their friends, and sometimes they use these words in chatting room.
Vandalism is also part of the effect of using internet for entertainment. This is because by watching some video like in youtube, teenagers might watch videos which shows vandelism act, and this can give an impact to their moral behaviour. Video that have been post to youtube, usually is post by teenagers, showing what they love to do in their daily life. Some video contain vandelism act like bullying and destroying public facilities. This kind of video is entertainment for teenagers. This is why some teenagers get influence by the video and behave immorally outside their home. Teenagers will normally imitate activities or role from what they observe in the internet especially if it is carried out by their favourite artist.
Using internet for entertainment also brings positive impact such as, it give opportunity to teenagers to learn new thing and sharpen their mind by playing various type of online games that is educational like bookworm, puzzle and solitare. They also can find new release song from their favourite artist by surfing internet. Internet have their own positive and negative side of using it, but it depends on ourself how we control our behaviour in learning new thing from the internet. Parents can also play their role by having parental control in their computer so their children will not surf something that is not appropriate especially in entertainment site.
